GASP! Submission?

June 25, 2020 by Noah

Submission in God’s kingdom goes a long way. Rather than us believing we are right all of the time, let us seek His ways and submit to Him.  The true – what God told me- definition of humble is someone who submits to His words and His ways. One example is found within the husband and wife relationship; there should be both submission to God and each other. Yes, husbands submitting to our wives when they line up with scripture or have a better idea is a good thing. Likewise, ladies submitting to your husbands is also a good thing. Sometimes it might be a difficult task to do or it might seem too good to be true. Either way, we should humble ourselves, accept the truth, and apply it in our lives. After all, God has a plan and that plan leads to victory.

1 Peter 5:6–7(NKJV): 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Ephesians 5:21 (NKJV)21 submitting to one another in the fear (also translates to reverence, deep respect,) of God.

Ephesians 5:25 (NKJV)25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,

Ephesians 5:22 (NKJV)22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

God so loved YOU!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 17:3  And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

Acts 20:32 So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

John 1:11-14 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
